Here are 5-holiday desserts(including flan) you should try.

1.   Flan

You can enjoy flan in different flavors (mango, coconut, chocolate, orange) and textures. However, a classic flan recipe is the creamy, delicious caramel. The ingredients needed include eggs, sugar, condensed milk, and vanilla extract.

Direction

Step 1: On a heated skillet, add sugar, set over medium heat, and stir to dissolve. Keep stirring as

the sugar starts to turn brown and thicken. Continue stirring until all the sugar has melted into a golden-brown caramel.

Step 2: Pour the caramel evenly on a cake pan. Pour as fast as possible to prevent the caramel from solidifying before you finish. Set the caramel aside to cool and harden.

Step 3: Whip the sweetened condensed milk, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until they

combine evenly. Do not over-whisk to avoid adding too much air to the mixture.

Step 4: Pour the custard mixture into the caramel-lined pan and tightly cover the pan with an

 aluminum foil.

Step 5: Set the pan inside a sizable baking dish and pour water into the baking dish until it

comes halfway up the flan pan. Bake the flan at three hundred and fifty degrees Fahrenheit for seventy-five minutes.

Step 6: Remove the lid from the flan pan and allow it to cool before removing it from the water bath. After that, put it in the fridge to chill for four hours or overnight.

Step 7: Take off the pan’s cover or aluminum foil and use a knife to release the pan carefully

edges.

Step 8: Set a sizable dish or platter on top of the pan, then quickly and carefully turn them

over. Pull up the pan. If the flan doesn’t come out immediately, set it down and give it time to settle.
