Dining At New Jersey’s Six Flags: Great Adventure

You have fun on your mind whenever you decide to spend the day at a big amusement park like New Jersey‘s Six Flags: Great Adventure, and you don’t want anything to get in the way of that. While food might not be the first thing you think about, take a moment or two to look at the restaurants available once you get there. Eating the wrong thing just before you’re screaming down at the ground from atop the Kingda Ka can ruin what would otherwise be a great day!

Try to eat breakfast before you get to the park. Avoid foods that lack nutrients, and try to eat something that gives you energy. Try some fruit and toast. Save the dairy products for tomorrow!

Here are some of the best places to eat early in the day:

The Go Fresh Cafe by the Nitro coaster is a reliable stop for anyone on a diet or with strict nutritional requirements. You’ll find lighter options such as sandwiches, wraps, and salads. If you’re on a vegetarian or gluten-free diet, then you’ll find something to eat here.

You’ll find similar fare at the Go Fresh Express at Wildside.

If you’re in the mood for something more filling, then head over to the Garden State Grill. You’ll find exactly what you might expect: burgers made to order, fully customizable by you. They have milkshakes as well, but you might want to steer clear of those if it’s too early in the day. They make a better mid-afternoon snack.

Most of the options at Six Flags mean to fill you up, and quite a few are risky bets until later in the day. When the time comes, though, it’s time to let loose. Check out Nathan’s Hot Dogs for corn dogs, hot dogs, chicken tenders, fries, and more.

If you’re in the mood for fast Chinese food, there’s a Panda Express on the premises. Enough said.

Take a short trip to Primo’s Pizzeria if you haven’t enjoyed a mouth-watering pie in a while.

If you’re just looking for a quick snack, then check out Safari Snacks. This is another decent location for hot dogs or fries, but you’ll also find other fun options like soft pretzels.

If you’re looking for family favorites, you could do no better than Shore Eats and Treats. The establishment serves Philly cheesesteaks without the Philly, nachos, mac n’ cheese, and delectable sausages.

Six Flags offers a number of other restaurants with similar food options, but no matter where you go you’ll find something tasty!
