Chicken fillets are a staple of the average family diet, there is almost no end to the amount of meals you can create with them. Whether you’re a fan of spicy food, a health conscious individual or you simply enjoy dinners that take almost no effort, there is a chicken breast recipe for you.

Here are just a few brief chicken breast recipes to get you started:

Chicken fried rice
Cut the chicken into small chunks and brown in some oil in a wok. Chop some vegetables such as mushrooms, peppers, spring onions, or pour in frozen peas or sweetcorn and stir fry. Add some cooked rice and continue to cook for 1-2 minutes. Make a space at the side of the pan and crack in an egg or two. Scramble the egg and mix into the chicken rice and veg. Add some soy sauce to taste and serve. A quick, simple and nutritious dinner.

Chicken fajitas
Cut the chicken breast into small strips and fry in some oil until cooked. Add vegetables such as strips of pepper, mushrooms and red onion. Pour in some fajita seasoning and mix – you can buy this ready made or prepare it yourself using a tablespoon of cornstarch, 2 teaspoons of chilli powder, a teaspoon each of paprika, salt and sugar, and half a teaspoon each of onion powder, garlic powder and cumin and a quarter of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper. When it’s cooked serve in a dish in the centre of the table and allow everyone to make their own fajitas using tortilla wraps.

Butterfly the chicken breast, place mozzarella cheese on top and fold the chicken breast back together. Wrap in parma ham and sear the chicken breast in oil in a medium frying pan. After frying place in 200C oven for 10 minutes. Serve with new potatoes and vegetables.
